About the Role
As a Workshop Controller you will be an integral member of the Aftersales Team, leading a large workshop and team of technicians.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Organising and controlling the throughput of the workshop, to ensure deadlines are met in a timely manner.
- Driving productivity and ensuring that the Workshop Team has a clear understanding of the performance of the department.
- Implementing a robust approach for ensuring that employees have visibility of daily objectives, and that progress is updated appropriately throughout the day. Ensuring that proactive action is taken to achieve successful outcomes.
- Evaluating and distributing servicing and maintenance work, based upon an effective understanding of skillsets and competencies.
- Ensuring that all documentation and records that are created and maintained by your department are complete, accurate and aligned with any governing quality standards.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous experience in a technical role or within a workshop in the automotive industry
- Highly motivated to consistently achieve targets
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a similar role / in workshop control
