Job Title: Workshop Controller Location: Hyundai, Cheshire Oaks Salary: OTE £45,000 Working Hours: Full-time Start Date: Immediate

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Workshop Controller to oversee the day-to-day running of our busy workshop. You'll coordinate the technician team, allocate work efficiently, and ensure repairs are completed to manufacturer standards, on time, and to the highest quality. Working closely with Service Advisors and management, you'll help drive productivity, efficiency, and outstanding customer service.

Your Role

  • Plan, allocate, and monitor workshop jobs to maximise productivity and efficiency
  • Ensure work is completed to manufacturer standards and within agreed deadlines
  • Support and motivate the technician team to achieve productivity and quality targets
  • Monitor workshop performance, efficiency, and utilisation
  • Liaise with Service Advisors to provide accurate repair updates and completion times
  • Ensure all workshop processes comply with manufacturer and company standards
  • Assist with technical queries and support technicians where required
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety within the workshop
  • Manage workshop capacity and prioritise urgent repairs where necessary
  • Help drive customer satisfaction through efficient workshop operations

About You

  • Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or Workshop Supervisor
  • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate a busy workshop team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments
  • Experience working to manufacturer standards and KPIs
  • Computer literate with experience using dealer management systems
  • Full UK driving licence
