About the Role

Are you an experienced automotive professional ready to take the step into your next career? Here at Hendy, we’re looking for a passionate, motivated and customer focussed Workshop Controller to join the team and lead our busy service department. Right first time, every time – ensuring the highest quality for all servicing and repairs.

You’ll work closely with our Service Manager to ensure the workshop runs smoothly, efficiently, and productively . Making a real impact in a busy, and successful workshop.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Making sure all booked work is completed on time and to the highest standards
  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the workshop
  • Motivating technicians to boost productivity, efficiency, and overall department profitability
  • Monitoring and reporting on technician performance and workshop hours
  • Maintaining high working standards in line with ISO requirements and manufacturer warranty procedures
  • Providing technical support to technicians when needed
  • Working closely with Service Advisors to ensure first class customer service

About You

  • Technical knowledge and experience gained through prior experience as a Senior Technician or Workshop Controller
  • Confident with computers and strong with numbers
  • A love for leadership, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Highly organised with great communication skills
  • Holds a full manual driving license

Hendy Induction - please be advised that any new starters joining the business in their first week will be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.

Successful candidates will be subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, including right to work verification and DBS checks.
