Are you an experienced automotive Sales Manager with a strong track record of delivering results?

Vertu Land Rover Taunton is looking for a talented Used Car Sales Manager to lead our used car operation and drive performance across the sales team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious automotive brand, leading a team of Business Managers, Sales Executives and support colleagues while delivering an exceptional experience for every customer.

The role

As Used Car Sales Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the used car sales department, creating a high-performing environment focused on customer experience, profitability and operational excellence.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, coaching and developing the sales team to achieve their individual and departmental objectives
• Managing a structured and controlled sales process, with strong first and second-facing activity
• Driving used vehicle sales, finance and appropriate add-on product performance
• Identifying opportunities to improve sales performance, profitability and operating efficiency
• Managing sales campaigns and promotions to maximise opportunities
• Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service throughout the sales journey
• Creating an engaging, accountable and performance-focused team culture
• Ensuring the dealership operates to the highest ethical and compliance standards

About You

We are looking for an established Sales Manager with proven motor industry experience and a strong record of delivering commercial results.

You will be able to demonstrate:

• Previous automotive Sales Management experience
• A proven ability to drive sales, profitability and operational performance
• Strong leadership, coaching and people-management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to motivate a team and create a high-performance culture
• A customer-first approach with integrity at the heart of your leadership style
• A full UK driving licence
