This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm, offering an hourly rate of £12.71 per hour, alongside an excellent benefits package and outstanding career development opportunities.

About the Role

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the accounts function, ensuring supplier payments and financial records are processed accurately and efficiently.

Working as part of a supportive team, you'll be responsible for maintaining purchase ledger records, resolving queries, and ensuring financial processes run smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Preparing and processing monthly payment runs
• Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Preparing and processing bank payments
• Maintaining accurate purchase ledger records
• Building positive relationships with suppliers and internal colleagues
• Supporting the wider accounts team with additional administrative duties when required

Requirements

We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate work.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Previous experience within an accounts, finance, administration, or purchase ledger role would be advantageous
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Good numerical and data-entry accuracy
• Excellent communication skills
• A proactive and positive approach to work
• The ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
• Strong IT skills and confidence using finance systems and Microsoft Office applications
