At our Vertu Vehicle Solutions businesswe currently have an excellent opportunity for a Preparation Controller to join our outstanding team!

We are offering £28,000 Basic Salary with an OTE of £32,000!

You'll be responsible for coordinating workloads, managing vehicle progress, liaising with suppliers and technicians, and ensuring all preparation work is completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest standards.

You will act as the central point of control for all workshop activity, liaising with internal departments, external suppliers, and service providers to ensure vehicles are prepared and ready for sale within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities

  • Control and manage vehicle workflow through the preparation process.
  • Allocate work to technicians and monitor workshop productivity.
  • Coordinate external repairs including paintwork, alloy wheel refurbishment, glass replacement, and specialist repairs.
  • Raise and manage job cards and preparation invoicing.
  • Monitor vehicle progress and provide updates to key stakeholders.
  • Arrange warranty and outsourced repairs with approved suppliers.
  • Ensure all work is completed within agreed budgets and timescales.

About You

  • Previous experience in an automotive environment.
  • Experience in a Workshop Controller, Preparation Controller, Senior Service Advisor, Bodyshop Controller, VDA, or similar role.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Good understanding of vehicle repair and preparation processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
