What to ExpectJoin Tesla's dynamic EMEA Payroll team, managing processing for 20,000+ employees across 35+ entities amid rapid growth and evolving regulations. As statutory scrutiny intensifies, you'll be the go-to expert for equity compensation compliance (RSUs, ESPPs, Stock Options), legislative monitoring, metrics, process automation, and risk mitigation. This high-impact role ensures seamless payroll operations, SOX compliance, and reduced risks in a fast-paced, multi-country environment. We’ve posted this role in other locations to attract a diverse pool of candidates - but please note there is only one open position. What You’ll DoEquity Compensation Expertise: Prepare quarterly RSU Sell-to-Cover (STC) tax rates for 35+ countries, deliver HR Operations presentations and employee communications; manage ad-hoc STC rates for Stock Options, and ESPP (monthly inputs, refunds, reconciliations, bi-annual contributions/sells/forecasts) Legislative Compliance Monitoring: Track EMEA-wide compliance updates, liaise with HR Business Partners, HR Ops, and external advisors for actions, taxation research, payroll process enhancements and optimisations and new country payroll implementation Metrics & Data Analysis: Own monthly EMEA payroll metrics, cost analysis (Net Pay/Tax/SS), Issue Tracker/Power BI dashboards, other dashboard management, and ticket metrics; flag/review One-Time Payments (OTP) across +30 countries bi-monthly, coordinate recoveries Stakeholder Management & Support: Serve as primary point-of-contact for HR, Finance, Stock Admin on all type of payment and system related queries; provide taxation/legislation clarifications; lead monthly syncs with BI, HR, Systems, Audit, GRC, and Finance Payroll Process Improvement and Optimisation Projects: Manage full payroll project lifecycles (e.g., Time and Attendance migration, Payroll Validation Engine, and others); initiate automations (e.g., Element Wage Requests, Reclass Templates); develop action plans, deadlines, and enhancements for team efficiency System & Platform Administration: Maintain Payroll Team work and project trackers, SharePoint page administration, KPI Dashboards, e-ticketing templates; automate flows and manage access/requirements/support Audit & SOX Compliance: Lead EMEA SOX walkthroughs; consolidation of payroll process documentations for STC, PVE, Time and attendance validations for SOX controls; prepare control frameworks and ensure compliance validations What You’ll BringSolid years of experience in EMEA payroll compliance, with knowledge of equity taxation (RSUs/ESPP/Options) across multiple countries Proven stakeholder management with HR, Finance, external counsel, and audit teams Strong analytical skills; proficient in Power BI, Excel, SharePoint, and bespoke automation tools Excellent communication for presentations, training, and cross-functional collaboration Proactive problem-solver thriving in dynamic, high-volume environments
