Payroll Administration

Prepare and process monthly payroll data for all employees across the Group.

Previous Sage 50 payroll administration experience (end to end) is essential

Ensure all new starters, leavers, contractual changes and payroll amendments are accurately recorded and submitted within payroll deadlines.

Verify payroll information including salaries, commission payments, bonus payments, overtime, deductions, statutory payments and benefits.

Process parental and sickness payments in accordance with statutory requirements.

Reconcile payroll reports and identify any discrepancies prior to payroll approval.

Liaise with General and Department Managers to ensure all information submitted is accurate.

Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation.

Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and managers in a professional and timely manner.

Complete year-end payroll activities including P60s and P11D reporting.

Benefits Administration

Administer company benefit schemes including:

Company car scheme

Private medical insurance

Life assurance

Employee assistance programmes

Pension schemes

Other employee benefits as introduced by the business

Process benefit enrolments, amendments and removals.

Maintain accurate records of all employee benefits.

Liaise with benefit providers to resolve employee queries and administrative issues.

Support the annual renewal of benefits and schemes

Pension Administration

Administer auto-enrolment and pension processes.

Ensure pension contributions are accurately calculated and submitted.

Manage pension joiners, leavers and contribution changes.

Liaise with pension providers on behalf of employees and the business.

HR & Compliance Support

Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, payroll regulations and employment law requirements.

Assist with generalist HR tasks including emails & calls

Support payroll audits and compliance checks.

Maintain confidential employee records in line with GDPR requirements.

Produce payroll and benefits reports as requested

Assist with annual salary review and bonus administration processes.

Support HR projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements

Essential

Previous Sage 50 payroll administration experience (end to end)

Good understanding of payroll legislation and statutory payments.

Experience administering employee benefits and pensions.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Experience within a multi-site business.

Experience of HR systems and employee databases.

Payroll qualification or relevant professional certification.

Automotive retail sector experience.
