At Sandicliffe, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Panel Technician to join our busy Loughborough bodyshop team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced vehicle repair professional who enjoys a varied role that combines panel repair, bodyshop work, vehicle preparation, and light mechanical duties.

Working as part of a collaborative team, you'll help restore customer vehicles to the highest standards whilst ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency remain at the heart of everything you do.

About the Role

As a Panel Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality accident repairs and bodywork restoration. In addition to traditional panel repair duties, you'll support with a range of mechanical tasks required during the repair process, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a broad and hands-on automotive role.

Responsibilities

Carry out panel repairs, replacement, and alignment to manufacturer standards.

Remove and refit vehicle body panels and associated components.

Complete repairs using welding, filling, and panel beating techniques.

Conduct light mechanical work including removal and refitting of suspension, steering, braking, cooling, and ancillary components required during vehicle repairs.

Support vehicle diagnostics related to repair and refit activities.

Ensure all completed work meets safety, quality, and manufacturer requirements.

Work closely with estimators, painters, and workshop colleagues to meet customer deadlines.

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Follow company processes, health and safety procedures, and industry best practices.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about vehicle repair and takes pride in delivering exceptional workmanship.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Panel Technician, Vehicle Body Repair Technician, MET Technician, or similar automotive repair role.

Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques.

Experience removing and refitting mechanical and electrical components.

Ability to work efficiently whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Full UK driving licence.

Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

ATA accreditation or equivalent qualification.

Experience within a franchised dealer or accident repair centre.

Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, ADAS components, and repair methods.
