Are you an experienced automotive sales leader looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact?

At Vertu Hyundai Dunfermline, we're looking for a passionate and driven New & Used Car Sales Manager to join our leadership team during an exciting period of transformation and growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with Hyundai's award-winning range of petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles while helping shape the future success of the dealership. You'll also benefit from the support of an experienced General Sales Manager, providing you with the platform to thrive and continue developing your leadership career.

We're offering a basic salary of £40,000 with an OTE of £60,000, plus a company car and excellent benefits package.

About the Role

As New & Used Car Sales Manager, you'll lead and develop a team of Sales Executives, driving performance across both new and used vehicle sales while ensuring exceptional customer experiences at every stage of the journey.

You'll be responsible for creating a high-performance culture through coaching, mentoring, and hands-on leadership, helping your team achieve their targets whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer care and compliance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a high-performing sales team
  • Driving new and used vehicle sales performance and profitability
  • Coaching Sales Executives to maximise results and customer satisfaction
  • Managing sales processes and customer interactions
  • Monitoring and improving departmental performance and KPIs
  • Maximising opportunities across finance, insurance, and ancillary products
  • Managing sales campaigns and manufacturer initiatives
  • Creating a positive, customer-focused sales culture

Requirements

We're seeking a proven automotive sales leader who can demonstrate:

  • Previous Sales Manager experience within the motor retail industry
  • A strong track record of increasing sales performance and profitability
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Experience coaching and developing successful sales teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to lead from the front and inspire others
  • A full UK driving licence

Compliance & Values

As a values-driven business, it is essential that our management team consistently demonstrate behaviours that deliver positive outcomes for our customers. You will be expected to act in good faith at all times, setting the standard within your dealership and operating in a customer-centric environment where integrity is key.

You will play a key role in driving a culture of responsible business practices, ensuring we deliver the right products and services to meet our customers’ needs, protect them from harm, and encourage long-term loyalty. Building trust and acting with integrity at all times is fundamental to this role.

To protect our customers and our reputation, successful candidates will be required to undertake a DBS check, along with regular fit and proper person assessments. We will also request references from previous employers as part of our pre-employment checks.

We're proud to invest more in our colleagues' development than any other motor retailer, helping our people build rewarding and successful careers.

Benefits include:

  • Basic salary of £40,000
  • OTE of £60,000
  • Company car
  • 25 days holiday, rising with length of service, plus bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity benefits
