At Steer Commercial, we’re not just repairing vehicles; we’re raising the standard of commercial vehicle repair through integrity, excellence, and innovation. We are now looking for a talented MET Technician with strong mechanical knowledge of cars and LCV to join our specialist team.
As an MET Technician, you’ll work on a diverse range of vehicles, ensuring mechanical, electrical, and trim components are correctly removed, refitted, and fully functioning post-repair. Your work is key to restoring vehicles that businesses rely on every day.
Responsibilities
Carrying out mechanical, electrical, and trim work on Light Commercial Vehicles
Stripping and refitting components to enable structural and cosmetic repairs
Diagnosing faults and reinstating safety-critical systems
Working collaboratively with estimators, panel, and paint teams to keep repairs on track
Delivering work to high standards, aligned with manufacturer specifications and internal quality checks
What You’ll Need
Proven experience as an MET Technician,
Relevant qualifications (IMI, NVQ, or ATA in MET preferred) or Time Served
Sound knowledge of modern vehicle systems and repair procedures
Methodical, accurate approach to work with strong fault-finding skills
A team-focused attitude with a commitment to safety and repair quality
Work on varied vehicles that keep industries moving
