About the Role

HGV Technician

  • Structured Mercedes-Benz and Daimler Truck manufacturer training with clear development pathways.
  • Progression opportunities into Maintenance, Systems and Diagnostic Technician positions.
  • Minimum of 2-4 manufacturer training days annually , depending on your development pathway and brand specialism.
  • Home to the Marshall Group's dedicated High Voltage Truck & Van operation.
  • Modern workshop facilities featuring 5 truck bays, 2 full-length pits and 5 van bays with lifts.
  • Competitive hourly rate of £19.50-£21.50 per hour , depending on experience.
  • Additional £30 per day late shift allowance .
  • Saturday overtime paid at 1.4x hourly rate .
  • Rotating shift pattern of 07:00-15:30 and 13:00-23:00 .

We're looking for

  • You’ll carry out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work.
  • You’ll handle a variety of vehicle maintenance tasks, from oil changes to engine changes, supported by digital write-ups and job card completion.
  • You’ll conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with Marshall standards.
  • Someone with a recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Someone with previous experience as a Service Technician/Mechanic, ideally with exposure to both warranty and servicing work.
  • Someone with strong teamwork skills, who follows process and upholds high standards of safety and quality.
  • Someone with a MOT Licence is a plus – full training can be provided if not yet qualified.
  • Most importantly, someone eager to learn as this role will test you, but also help you develop and progress within your Mechanic careers with our manufacturer accreditation training.
