Head of Business

Following our recent acquisition in Guildford and an internal move within the business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and inspirational Head of Business to lead our Mercedes-Benz dealership in Epsom. Reporting directly to the Group Operations Director, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, performance and continued success of the site. This role requires a highly visible and commercially focused leader who can inspire teams, drive operational excellence and deliver exceptional results across Sales, Service and Parts.

As Head of Business, you will be responsible for maximising commercial opportunities, developing high-performing teams and ensuring an outstanding customer experience that reflects the standards of both Mercedes-Benz and the Sandown Group.

Providing strong, visible leadership across the dealership.

Leading, motivating and developing departmental leaders and their teams.

Driving sales, aftersales and profitability objectives in line with business plans and strategic goals.

Ensuring an exceptional customer experience throughout the customer journey.

Maintaining compliance with Mercedes-Benz franchise standards, policies and processes.

Identifying opportunities to improve operational performance and business efficiency.

Creating and maintaining a high-performance culture focused on customer excellence, employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Working closely with the Group leadership team to support wider business objectives and growth initiatives.

Significant senior management experience within the retail motor industry.

A proven track record of delivering commercial success, profitability and operational performance.

Experience leading both Sales and Aftersales functions.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to develop, motivate and inspire high-performing teams.

Excellent commercial awareness and strategic thinking capabilities.

A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.

A full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel between sites when required.

Applicants will ideally be educated to degree level, hold a recognised management qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience within a manufacturer or franchised retail environment.
