Customer Service Advisor – Automotive Repair Centre
Location: Edinburgh
Steer Automotive Group is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our busy Edinburgh automotive repair centre.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, administration, reception or automotive customer care who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing an excellent experience from the first phone call through to vehicle collection.
As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be an important point of contact for our customers, keeping them informed throughout the repair process and working closely with colleagues, insurers and other stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing a friendly and professional service to customers in person, over the phone and by email
Managing customer enquiries and repair bookings
Keeping customers updated throughout the vehicle repair process
Supporting vehicle handovers and collections
Liaising with technicians, insurers and suppliers to help keep repairs progressing
Responding to customer queries and resolving issues professionally
Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records
Supporting the wider bodyshop team with general administration
Ensuring every customer receives a positive and professional experience
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience in a customer service, customer advisor, reception or administrative role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confidence communicating with customers both face-to-face and over the phone
Good IT skills and the ability to learn new systems
A calm and professional approach when working in a busy environment
Strong attention to detail
Previous experience within the automotive, accident repair, bodyshop, dealership or insurance industry would be beneficial, but isn’t essential
