As a Credit Manager at Group 1 Automotive, you'll play a vital role in protecting the financial health of our business while helping to deliver outstanding and trusted experiences across our organisation. You'll lead all aspects of credit management, collections, customer data governance, and Order-to-Cash (OTC) operations, ensuring effective risk management, strong cash flow performance, and continuous process improvement.

Working as part of a successful, global automotive group, you'll collaborate with colleagues across Finance, Operations, Shared Services, and the wider business to drive operational excellence, support informed decision-making, and minimise risk. What you’ll do day to day

  • Manage credit risk across the business, reviewing and approving customer credit limits and payment terms.
  • Monitor customer accounts, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Lead collections activities to support healthy cash flow and reduce bad debt exposure.
  • Own and maintain customer master data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance across systems.
  • Drive improvements across Order-to-Cash processes, enhancing efficiency and service levels.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Shared Services, and external customers.
  • Deliver meaningful reporting and insights on credit risk, collections performance, and key financial metrics.
  • Support audits, compliance requirements, acquisitions, and other business projects as required

Helpful skills and qualifications

  • Previous experience in Credit Management or a similar finance leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes and controls.
  • Experience managing customer accounts, credit risk, and collections activities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working across multiple departments to drive improvements and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of customer data governance and financial systems would be advantageous.
