At Vertu Hyundai Bristol, we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to become a key part of our finance team.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a salary of up to £30,000, depending on experience, along with an excellent benefits package and genuine opportunities for career development.

What You'll Be Doing

Working closely with the Accountant and dealership management team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the financial performance of the business is accurately monitored and reported. You'll provide valuable financial information that helps drive decision-making and supports the continued success of the dealership.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the production of Management Accounts
• Preparing forecasts and estimates
• Payroll processing
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Managing accruals and prepayments
• Supporting cash flow activities
• Reconciling manufacturer bonus payments
• Credit control
• Producing financial reports and analysis
• Supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the dealership

About You

We're looking for someone who is motivated, detail-oriented and eager to further their career in finance.

You'll ideally have previous experience in an Assistant Accountant role and be confident working in a busy environment where accuracy and attention to detail are essential.

Motor trade experience would be highly desirable, helping you hit the ground running, although we would also welcome applications from candidates with strong accounting experience gained in other sectors.

Experience of the Kerridge (Keyloop) system would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided for the right candidate.
