About the Role

As an Apprentice Light Vehicle Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians, learning how to inspect, service, maintain and repair a wide range of Volvo passenger vehicles to the highest standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks
• Performing vehicle health checks and visual inspections
• Assisting with repairs and diagnostic work
• Completing workshop documentation accurately
• Learning from experienced System Technicians on complex repairs and fault finding
• Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer service that reflects the Volvo brand

Requirements

• Passionate about cars and vehicle technology
• Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to developing new skills

Entry Requirements

You will need:

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent)
• One additional GCSE at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)

Training and Development

• Complete a manufacturer-accredited qualification up to Level 3 in Automotive Repair
• Receive specialist Volvo training at the manufacturer's training centre
• Attend block-release training modules, which will include occasional overnight stays
• Gain practical experience working alongside highly skilled Volvo technicians
• Develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a qualified technician
