We have a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our busy Head Office team in Eastleigh.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor you will play a crucial part within our large Finance team. Ideally you will be an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist, a solid team player with excellent communication skills, highly organised, and agile in your approach.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process supplier payments in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of internal payment requests;
  • Ensure all payment requests/ expense claims and are checked and prepared for input onto the DMS promptly and accurately;
  • Ensure all supporting documentation is digitally recorded;
  • Ensure all requests are authorised within the approval lines which are laid down in the Financial Commitments Policy
  • Bank reconciliation

About You

We are looking for an organised, confident, and highly motivated individual who thrives within fast-paced environments. You will:

  • Be proficient in dealing with a large number of wide-ranging suppliers (e.g., vehicle and parts manufacturers);
  • Be able to work well independently, but also be able to collaborate as a team.
  • Be a rapid learner;
  • Have a good practical excel knowledge, and confident using a variety of computer systems;
  • Have excellent communication skills;
  • Be highly organised with the ability to pay meticulous attention to detail; and
  • Have previously worked in the automotive industry (advantageous but not essential).
  • Have proven experience of working in a busy finance department with expertise in purchase ledger;
  • Help drive improvement in your business performance.

Hendy Induction - please be advised that any new starters joining the business in their first week will be expected to attend a structured induction programme that will involve 2 days at our training academy in Portsmouth. More details will be shared at interview.
